What we collect
iMAJiN ART is a one-person studio run by Xavier Woodberry in Virginia. This policy covers imajinart.com and anything you send us through it.
When you place an order. Your name, email address, shipping address, and what you ordered. If the billing address differs from the shipping address, that too.
When you fill in a form. Whatever you choose to put in it — usually your name, your email address, and a description of the project you have in mind. Please don't send anything sensitive through a web form; email works for that.
When you email us. Your message and whatever you included in it, kept as long as the conversation is useful.
Automatically, as with any website. Our host records basic technical information when a page loads: the IP address the request came from, the type of browser and device, and which pages were visited. This is ordinary server logging, not a profile of you.
What we don't collect. We don't buy information about you from anyone. We don't track you across other websites. We don't ask for your date of birth, your government ID, or anything else we have no reason to hold. If a piece of information isn't needed to make something or ship something, we'd rather not have it.
How we use it
For the things you'd expect, and not much else:
- Taking payment, printing your order and getting it to your door
- Sending you a receipt, and letting you know when your order ships
- Answering your message when you get in touch
- Discussing and carrying out commissioned work
- Keeping the records a business is required to keep — sales, invoices, tax
- Noticing and stopping fraud or abuse
We don't sell your information. We don't rent, trade or otherwise hand it to anyone for their own marketing, and we won't start.
Who else sees it
A studio this size runs on other people's tools. Each of these gets only what it needs to do its job, and none of them is allowed to use your information for anything else.
| Service | What it receives | What it does with it |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | your name, email, billing address and card details | takes the payment |
| Printful | your name, shipping address and what you ordered | prints and ships it |
| Supabase | your order record | stores it, so your order exists |
| Resend | your email address and the message | delivers your receipt and shipping notice |
| Lovable | technical request data | hosts the website |
| IONOS | anything you email us | hosts the studio mailbox |
| Wave | name, email and billing details for commissioned work | issues and records invoices |
These are service providers, not partners we're sharing you with. Nothing here is a sale of your information under any reading of the phrase.
Beyond those, we'd only hand anything over if the law required it, if someone's safety depended on it, or if the studio were ever sold or transferred — in which case the same commitments would travel with it.
Payment information
We never see your card number. When you pay, your card details go straight from your browser to Stripe, who are built for exactly this and audited for it. They don't pass through our site and we have no way to store them even if we wanted to.
What we can see afterwards is what any shopkeeper sees: that a payment succeeded, the last four digits, the card brand, and the billing address attached to it. That's what lets us match a payment to an order and sort it out if something goes wrong.
If you pay an invoice for commissioned work, the same is true — it's handled by Stripe or by your bank, and the card details never reach us.
Cookies and site data
The site uses the small amount of browser storage it needs to work — keeping your cart intact while you shop, and remembering you through checkout. Without it, your basket would empty every time you changed page.
Our host counts visits so we know whether anyone's reading. Those are totals, not dossiers: how many people saw a page, roughly where in the world they were, which site sent them. Not who you are.
We don't run advertising trackers. No pixels, no retargeting, nothing following you to other websites to show you prints you already looked at. If that ever changes, this policy changes first and says so plainly.
How long we keep it, and what you can ask for
Order and invoice records are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. Those we can't delete on request, and no business can.
Form submissions and email stay as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable while after, in case you come back. Then they go.
Server logs are short-lived and handled by our host.
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you
- correct anything wrong
- delete what we're not required to keep
- send you a copy of what you gave us
Email contact@imajinart.com and we'll sort it out. We may need to check you're you before handing over anything, which is in your interest as much as ours.
Depending on where you live you may have these rights by law. We'd rather just honour them for everyone than make you work out whether you qualify.
Children
This site is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect anything from them. If you're a parent and you think your child has sent us something, email us and it'll be deleted.
Security
Orders are stored with a reputable provider, payments are handled by Stripe, and access is limited to one person — which is one advantage of a studio this size. That said, nobody can promise a website is impossible to break into, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If something material changes — a new service handling your information, a new kind of tracking — it'll be said plainly rather than slipped in.
